Apple just announced new AMD RDNA 2-fast-2-furious graphics options for the current Intel Mac Pro. Radeon Pro W6800X single or Duo MPX Module, and a full-on 22.2 teraflop Radeon Pro W6900X hellicarrier of a highest-end card. All available right now.
But, one year into the Apple silicon transition and there’s still not a single, solitary goram ultra-high performance M1X MacBook Pro, iMac, or Mac Pro in sight. Just the ultra low power M1 MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, Mac mini, and iMac. So, where are those Pro-level updates? Or, more importantly, if you’re waiting to buy and trying to decide for how long you can hang on, when are they?
